Minneapolis Police on Saturday announced they identified a person-of-interest in connection to a homicide that took place earlier in the week.

Police asked the public for help in locating Anthony Woodland, 53, who they believe may be responsible for the death of Nikkiyia Robinson.

Robinson, 38, was found dead by Minneapolis fire and paramedics shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 400 block of Ridgewood Avenue.

Minneapolis police began a suspicious death investigation after first responders reports "signs of trauma."

Minneapolis police said on Saturday that Robinson's death was ruled a homicide after the medical examiner's office determined that the cause of death was sharp force trauma to the chest.

Woodland, pictured above, is believed to be 6 feet tall and 193 pounds. Police say he is bald and had facial hair at the time.

Minneapolis police warned the public to not approach Robinson, but instead call 911.

Police don't believe Woodland is connect to the triple-stabbing that took place on March 17.
