The Minnesota Department of Public Safety has released photos and squad car dashcam video taken last month at the scene of the drunk driving crash of Hennepin County Sheriff Dave Hutchinson.
In the release of their investigative file, DPS says that Douglass County Sheriffs were the only law enforcement on the scene that wore body cams, and state law only provides the release of that footage with the approval of the subject.
Also in their report, Hutchinson provided a urine sample that came back with an alcohol content of .134. He was cited with four crimes, three DWI citations and one for carrying a pistol while intoxicated.
Among the findings, the report says that Hutchinson was driving over 120 miles an hour without a seatbelt. He spent several days in the hospital after the crash.
Hutchinson pled guilty to DWI and says he's in an alcohol treatment program but has denied requests for him to resign.
