If you were dreaming of a warm Christmas, you were in luck on December 25, 2023.
"The high temperature in the Twin Cities was 54, which breaks the previous record of 51 degrees that was running since 1922," said forecasters Joe Strus at the National Weather Service in Chanhassen.
It's going to get colder, but still not as cold as your average Christmas week.
Temperatures are going to fall all Tuesday into the 30's.
That's still about ten degrees warmer than the average.
It was also a wet Christmas in the metro.
Between one and two inches of rain fell Monday across the Twin Cities, while more than two inches fell in the St. Cloud area.
