St. Paul police have released dashcam video of last week's officer-involved shooting at Cretin and Marshall Avenues.

The video from St. Paul Police Officer Michael Tschida’s camera shows 24-year old Brandon Keys firing his gun at officers, and Tschida returning fire.

Tschida is also heard yelling at a woman, believed to be the person who called 911 to report Keys was ramming her car. She is seen running across the street where shots were being fired to Keys' aid.

Keys was shot in the head and died. Officer Tschida was shot in the leg and is seen limping in the video. He received hospital treatment for a leg wound and is on standard administrative leave.

St. Paul police chief Axel Henry says while the video is only one piece of a complex investigation, he hopes it's release provides some answers to Key’s family.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is conducting an investigation into an incident, which follows state guidelines for officer-involved shootings.
