A Minnesota state senator and former Twin Cities TV meteorologist is arrested in Detroit Lakes on suspicion of burglary.
Police say 49-year old Nicole Mitchell was taken to the Becker County Jail this morning after the homeowner called police.
The county attorney's office is reviewing the case before determining whether Mitchell will be charged.
Mitchell is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserve. She was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2022 (DFL-Woodbury). She worked as a meteorologist for both KSTP-TV and MPR.
