A teenager charged as an adult in the 2022 killing of a young Brooklyn Park woman, has pleaded guilty in Hennepin County District Court in exchange for a 10-year prison sentence.

17-year old Foday Kevin Kamara of Brooklyn Park admitted to killing 23-year old Zaria McKeever during a botched home invasion after investigators say Kamara and his older brother were put up to it by McKeever's ex-boyfriend.

Erick Haynes' murder trial is scheduled to begin April 1.

Kamara's brother has already accepted a plea deal and has been serving time in a juvenile detention facility.

Kamara remains in custody on a $1 million bail.
