Edina police have arrested two teenagers following a "Facebook Marketplace deal gone wrong" that led to a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment building at 7333 Gallagher Drive on Sunday evening.
The shooting unfolded around 5:30 p.m. with Edina police dispatched to the Lunds & Byerlys parking lot where the 18-year-old victim was found and transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
Despite uncooperative witnesses, investigators used surveillance video and identified two suspects, ages 16 and 17. The younger suspect was arrested in Edina after a traffic stop, while the 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody during a search warrant executed by the Edina SWAT Team with the assistance of Eden Prairie and St. Louis Park SWAT Teams.
A .40-caliber ghost gun was collected as evidence during his arrest.
Both individuals were taken to the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center.
