The Twin Cities PRIDE festival will return in 2021 after being lost because of the pandemic in 2020.

In a Facebook post on Friday, the organizers of TC PRIDE said that they were happy to be back at Loring Park for the festival celebrating BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people.

“We are thrilled with the Governor’s new guidance affecting events,” said Executive Director Dot Belstler. “It means large outdoor events, including our largest fundraiser, the Pride Festival, can happen again! Our primary concern is for the health of the LGBTQ+ community, which is more likely to be affected by COVID and other health concerns, so there will be some modifications to the traditional layout.”

While the normal Saturday night concert and fireworks won't be apart of the 2021 celebration, they will continue to have a beer garden, food vendors and music stages. Organizers say a march isn't planned at this time.
