Two women in custody after kidnapping and holding a man for three days

Two Hibbing women are in custody after allegedly kidnapping a man and holding him captive for three days.

45-year old Corrine Starc and 39-year old Shelly Goerdt are facing multiple charges after officers found a man at a with duct tape wrapped around his wrists and several injuries to his legs and head.

The criminal complaint says the two women asked the victim over to their home last Friday night and he wasn't seen or heard from until Monday when he was able to escape through the garage to a gas station. There he was able to call 911.

He was allegedly held at gunpoint in the bathroom of the home where he was tasered in his face and legs by the two women who threatened to kill him.

The two face up to 40 years in prison and are expected in court next Thursday. Authorities did not give a motive for the kidnapping, or any potential relationship between the man and the two women.
