New in the case of an missing woman found dead on a property in Isanti County on Tuesday.
The woman who owns the property has reached out to WCCO Radio to say she is fully cooperating. She is also offering her sympathies to the family of Amanda VanGrisven.
The 32-year old VanGrisven was missing since August 5th, when she was seen leaving the VFW in Isanti. Her body was found Tuesday night, and authorities say her death was suspicious.
The woman contacted WCCO Radio Wednesday afternoon saying that her husband is the person that VanGrisven was last seen with, and that he is currently in a mental health facility in another community.
She tells us the authorities know his whereabouts and have been in contact with him.
A law enforcement source from the Isanti County Sheriff's office has confirmed the woman's story to WCCO, and also confirms the suspect is not in custody but is in a mental facility.
The woman, whom we are not naming at this time and did not want to be recorded, says her heartfelt sympathies go out to Amanda's family and friends.
