A man and a woman, both in their seventies, were struck by a moving car yesterday east of Huntington Bank Stadium after the Gopher football game.
The collision happened just before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of 27th Avenue southeast and University Ave.
This is not on the University of Minnesota campus.
Police say the married couple remain hospitalized with potential life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the car has been identified as a woman in her 20's.
She reportedly is cooperating with police, who say impaired driving is not a factor in the collision and that both pedestrians were in the crosswalk when the collision happened.
It's not known if the couple had attended the football game.
