Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have opened up the 21-day practice window for wide receiver Justin Shorter on Wednesday. The rookie wideout has been on Injured Reserve all season.

Buffalo now has 21 days to either place Shorter on the active roster, or have him revert back to IR for the remainder of the season.

The Bills held a walk-through practice on Wednesday, which is typical for this time of the year. But since it was a walk-through, the official injury report is an estimation based upon if there had been a full practice, and three players did not participate.

Defensive end A.J. Epenesa, who suffered a rib injury in last Sunday's 20-17 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, along with safety Micah Hyde, who suffered another neck/stinger injury in the contest, were unable to practice.

Head coach Sean McDermott, once again, said Wednesday that Epenesa and Hyde are both week-to-week, and also did not rule out either eventually being placed on Injured Reserve. He said they will make that determination as they gather more information.

The only other non-participant in Wednesday's walk-through was edge rusher Von Miller, who received a veteran rest day.

In addition to those players, cornerback Taron Johnson (ankle) and tight end Dalton Kincaid (thumb/shoulder) were both listed as limited.

The 7-6 Bills host the 10-3 Dallas Cowboys at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. EST.
