Pittsford, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills released their first depth chart of the 2024 season ahead of Saturday's preseason opener against the Chicago Bears, and there were a few noteworthy items.
At safety, while there are injuries to both Mike Edwards and Cole Bishop, Damar Hamlin is listed as a starter along with Taylor Rapp.
Interestingly, although both Bishop and Edwards are considered week-to-week with their respective injuries, Bishop is listed with the second-team, along with Cam Lewis. However, Edwards is behind him in the third pairing with fellow veteran Kareem Jackson.
At cornerback, where there’s been a healthy rotation between Christian Benford and Kaiir Elam throughout training camp, Benford is listed as the starter opposite Rasul Douglas. Elam is a primary backup along with Ja'Marcus Ingram.
Meanwhile, K.J. Hamler gets the top nod at both kick returner and punt returner, with rookie Daequan Hardy and wide receiver Andy Isabella behind him in those two spots, respectively.

Wednesday practice
On the field Wednesday, it was the penultimate practice, with the final session coming Thursday morning.
Quarterback Josh Allen and the offense were very strong early, with pinpoint precision on a few passes, notably to Mack Hollins, Dawson Knox, and James Cook.
Later, the defensive pass rush started to become much more effective, with the whistle blowing the play dead a couple different times, considering it a sack on Allen.

Here’s a rundown:
