Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Buffalo Bills kick and punt returner Brandon Codrington, who finished the 2024 regular season ranked fourth in the NFL averaging 11.6 yards a punt return, is dealing with a hamstring injury, according to head coach Sean McDermott.
McDermott says the team is still gathering more information on Codrington’s injury, and it’s too early, at this point, to tell if it will impact his availability for the team’s AFC Wild Card Round game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Codrington was the only new injury to come out of the team’s 23-16 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, according to McDermott.
In addition, McDermott says linebacker Terrel Bernard continues to trend in the right direction from last week, as he deals with a quad injury that kept him out of practice last Wednesday.
"No news is good news," McDermott said of Bernard.
As for wide receiver Amari Cooper, he did not travel with the team to New England due to a personal family matter. McDermott says he is not yet back with the team, but is hopeful he will return later this week.
The team will next practice on Wednesday.
