The Buffalo Bills were in the Meadowlands on Sunday to take on the New York Jets in the first of two matchups this season. The Bills were looking to forget a disappointing loss last week in Jacksonville against the Jaguars, and they did in a big way.

Buffalo was humming from start-to-finish, scoring early and often on offense and also grabbing five takeaways from Mike White and the Jets offense. When the dust settled, the Bills flexed their muscles to the tune of a 45-17 final in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Bills' hot start got started with the defense forcing a three-and-out on New York's opening drive. Josh Allen and the Buffalo offense got the scoring started with a touchdown pass to newly-activated running back Matt Breida. It was the first time being active on game day for Breida since Week 3, and Buffalo's first touchdown since Halloween against the Miami Dolphins.

Buffalo's first quarter lead became 10 a drive later when Tyler Bass connected on his 16th-consecutive field goal made; this one from 29 yards out.

The Jets got on the scoreboard with 1:53 to play in the first half, when kicker Matt Ammendola drilled a field goal from 48 yards out.

With the score now 10-3, Allen and Stefon Diggs went to work in an effort to find pay dirt before halftime.

First, the duo hooked up for a long 57-yard reception down the sideline.

Later on the drive, Allen found Diggs again the endzone, but the initial touchdown call was overruled when it was deemed Diggs was unable to get a second foot down. That mattered not to the pair, as on the very next play, they connected for a touchdown on nearly the exact same play design.

The Bills received the second half kickoff and found the end zone again on the ensuing drive. This time, Isaiah McKenzie took a jet sweep to the house from eight yards out.

Buffalo got the ball back quickly after Tre'Davious White hauled in the defense's third turnover of the afternoon. White intercepted Jets quarterback Mike White, and the Bills, again, turned it into seven points on the scoreboard. For the second time on the day, it was Breida finding the end zone, this time with a 15-yard touchdown run.

The script remained the same on, yet, another Jets drive, as it ended prematurely after another Mike White interception. This time, Levi Wallace grabbed the takeaway; Buffalo's fourth of the game.

Much like Breida cashing in for a touchdown after the interception earlier in the quarter, Zack Moss entered the chat from one-yard out. It was Moss' fourth rushing score of the 2021 season.

From there, with the score 38-3, the two teams traded scores en route to the final. Running back Michael Carter found the end zone to make it 38-10 Buffalo, before Devin Singletary answered with a rushing score of his own. The last touchdown of the afternoon came from Jets backup quarterback Joe Flacco, who found rookie receiver Elijah Moore.

On defense, every member of the Bills' starting secondary (Micah Hyde, Tre'Davious White, Levi Wallace, Jordan Poyer) recorded an interception.

The convincing victory pushes the Bills' record to 6-3 in 2021.
