ARROW UP:

James Cook

Cook was outstanding all day, putting up numbers that could earn him AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

The Bills' starting running back finished with 25 carries for 179 yards (7.2 yards per-carry) and catching two passes for 42 more yards, totaling 221 yards of offense and two touchdowns.

His patience and vision were remarkable all afternoon.

Physicality

This was a very physical football game, and the Bills bullied the Cowboys, running for a total of 266 yards (5.4 yards per-carry).

On top of Cook's 179 rushing yards, Ty Johnson contributed with 54 yards, Josh Allen had 24 yards and a touchdown, and Latavius Murray had 11 yards and a score.

Offensive line

Any time you can run for 266 yards and control the ball for 35 minutes, the offensive line has to be playing well.

The Bills' unit did a great job not only in the run game, but also protecting Allen, who was sacked only one time.

Joe Brady

Offensive coordinator Joe Brady did a great job building the right game plan, then calling plays and sticking with it.

The Bills offense was in total control of the game almost any time they were on the field, including drives of 11, 11, 12, and 15 plays.

Job on Micah Parsons

The Cowboys' star pass rusher finished the game with zero solo tackles and two assisted tackles. Nothing else.

No sacks, tackles for loss, or even quarterback hurries.

Job on CeeDee Lamb

Lamb came into the game third in yards receiving in the NFL and fourth in receptions.

He finished Sunday's game with seven catches for just 53 yards. Three of his seven catches accounted for 15 yards on the Cowboys' final drive of the game with the Bills leading 31-3 and starters already pulled.

Dominant defense

The Cowboys came into the game as the highest scoring team in the NFL. The Bills held them to just 10 points, with seven of those coming on the final drive with the starting offense still in the game against Buffalo's backup defense.

Dallas had a total of 195 yards and averaged just 3.9 yards per-play, their lowest of each total all season.

Taron Johnson

Johnson was around the ball all afternoon, finishing with seven total tackles and a pass breakup.

Tyrel Dodson

Dodson was excellent against the run, and did a solid job against the pass, as well. He finished the game with eight tackles, 0.5 sacks, and a quarterback hurry.

Greg Rousseau and Leonard Floyd

The two defensive ends combined for three tackles, 1.5 sacks, two tackles for loss, and three quarterback hurries.

Third down offense and defense

The Cowboys were just 5-for-13 (38.5%) on third downs, while the Bills were 5-for-9 (55.6%).

Stefon Diggs’ one-handed grab

With 13:41 left in the fourth quarter and facing a 3rd-and-8 from the Cowboys' 46-yard line, Diggs caught an amazing pass to keep Buffalo's drive alive. The Bills scored two plays later to make it 31-3.

Red zone offense

The Bills scored touchdowns three of their four times in the Dallas red zone (75%).

Penalties

The Bills were called for just one penalty for 15 yards. One.

No big plays allowed

The Cowboys' longest offensive play from scrimmage was 16 yards.

No turnovers

The Bills didn’t turn the ball over at all on Sunday.

ARROW DOWN:

Dropped passes

The Bills dropped, at least, four passes.

Rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid accounted for two of those drops on his two targets all game, which is very uncharacteristic of the rookie.

Stefon Diggs dropped a third down pass, while James Cook dropped, what would have been, a touchdown.

Dropped interceptions

It wasn’t just offensive players dropping passes. Bills defenders should have caught and intercepted, at least, three passes they didn’t.

Punt blocking

The Bills almost had both of their first two punts blocked. The Cowboys got through and close to Sam Martin on the first punt, and then actually hit him on the second as they just missed blocking both.

Martin was even injured on the second punt, but luckily was able to return to the game.
