(WFAN/WGR 550) - After a highly-publicized free agency tour and months of speculation, it appears that star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is going... nowhere.

At least for now.

According to ESPN NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler, “several teams” are now operating under the belief that Beckham Jr. is “leaning toward” sitting out the rest of the year and getting ready for another free agency craze this offseason.

There was always speculation that Beckham Jr. may not be physically ready to contribute to a playoff contender this season, given his ACL injury earlier this year at the Super Bowl, and it seems that he is deciding on giving his knee more time to heal, and his free agent stock more time to rise.

Beckham Jr. had visited the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, and Buffalo Bills last week, with each team having differing levels of hope that the wideout would choose their team. But Beckham Jr. did not work out for teams, and his availability for the season remained up in the air.

Per Fowler, Beckham Jr. would likely have not been ready to be a contributor in any regular season games, and if he had tried to get on the field before the playoffs, he could have been opening himself up to an injury risk.

So now the Beckham Jr. sweepstakes will likely stretch into March.
