Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - For a ninth time in 10 years, the Sabres will be hosting its annual Prospects Challenge at Harborcenter in Downtown Buffalo. The games will begin on Friday, Sept. 13.
Six teams will, once again, be participating this year's tournament, with the Sabres hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Ottawa Senators and the Columbus Blue Jackets, who take the place of the Montreal Canadiens.
Buffalo opens the Sabres Prospects Challenge on Sept. 13 when they take on the Blue Jackets for a 7 p.m. ET faceoff. The Sabres will then have another 7 p.m. ET tilt on Saturday, Sept. 14 against the Devils, before closing out the tournament on Monday, Sept. 16 against the Penguins.

Saturday, Sept. 14 (Fan Fest and Hockeyfest)
- 12 p.m. ET - Pittsburgh vs. Ottawa

- 7 p.m. ET - New Jersey vs. Buffalo, 7 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 16
- 10 a.m. ET - Boston vs. New Jersey
- 1:30 p.m. ET - Ottawa vs. Columbus
- 5 p.m. ET - Pittsburgh vs. Buffalo
Rosters will be made available at a later date closer to the Sabres Prospects Challenge. You'll be able to hear the Sabres games on WGR Sports Radio 550.
The Sabres will also be hosting Fan Fest and Hockeyfest on Saturday, Sept. 14 ahead of the team’s game against New Jersey.
The Prospects Challenge started back in 2015, and has only paused once due to the COVID pandemic in 2020. Before that, Buffalo went to the Detroit Red Wings' prospects tournament in Traverse City, Mich.
