Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio) - The Buffalo Sabres have parted ways with one of the most hopeful goalie prospects in the franchise since Ryan Miller.
The Sabres are trading away Devon Levi and a 2028 seventh round pick to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a 2028 third round pick.

Levi's last start as a Sabres was back in the 2024-25 season as he spent the whole 2025-26 season in the AHL with the Rochester Americans In Rochester this year, Levi posted a 0.904 save percentage and a 2.83 goals against average (GAA) in the regular season while going 23-20-9. In the Calder Cup Playoffs, Levi had a .0.919 save percentage and 2.71 GAA.
Levi was traded to the Sabres back in 2021 as one of the key parts of the Sam Reinhart trade to the Florida Panthers. Levi made his name known during the 2022-23 season where he started seven out of the last nine games and almost helping the Sabres break the drought, but the Sabres ultimately missed the playoffs by one point.
The Sabres goaltender room as of this moment consists of Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, Alex Lyon and Colten Ellis
Levi was a 2020 draft pick, drafted in the seventh round by Florida.
