After getting off to a red hot start with the bats, the Red Sox lineup finally cooled off a bit. But as some of the team's bigger names slowed down a bit, utility man Brock Holt was the much-needed spark plug in the Red Sox lineup.

The Red Sox finished the week 3-3, going 1-2 against the Oakland A’s and 2-1 against AL East rival Toronto Blue Jays. The Red Sox finished the tail end of their road trip with 20 total runs scored -- 3.33 per game.

Holt batted .529 over the past week, going 9-for-17 in five games played. What’s most impressive is that of his nine hits, four of them were doubles. Additionally, Holt contributed two runs scored and three runs batted in, involving him in 25 percent of the Red Sox runs.
