The Patriots are continuing the roster-building process.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Patriots hosted former Bills wide receiver Jordan Matthews and former Cardinals tight end Troy Niklas for visits Monday. Both players were selected in the second round of the 2014 draft.

Matthews was drafted by the Eagles, but traded to the Bills prior to last season. In 10 games, he caught 25 passes for 282 yards and a touchdown. He had over 800 yards receiving in each of his three years in Philly and primarily plays out of the slot.

Niklas, who played at Notre Dame, finished with 11 catches for 132 yards and a touchdown in 15 games last year. It was his best season as a pro.

These seem like depth options, as the Patriots fill out their 90-man roster.
