Following early-morning reports that the Celtics have not only discussed a trade for Nets superstar Kevin Durant, but have actually made an offer centered around Brown, the 25-year-old wing shared his reaction on Twitter shortly before 11 a.m.
It says little and a lot all at once. For a player who has already suggested he feels disrespected in Boston, new trade rumors -- reported by the NBA's most plugged-in insiders -- surely will not help.
It's clear that if a trade for Durant doesn't come to fruition, Brad Stevens and company will have some smoothing-over to do with Brown. In a world where seemingly every trade offer and discussion leaks eventually, that was the risk the Celtics took by jumping into the Durant sweepstakes in the first place.
