Another mock draft, another mock draft that has the Patriots trading up for Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

Although, this one from ESPN's Mel Kiper is a little different as it doesn't have New England needing to trade up all that far from No. 15 overall. Kiper has the Patriots trading up to No. 10 with Dallas to select the QB that he has ranked No. 2 overall behind Trevor Lawrence.

The trade does have the Patriots giving up their 2022 first-round pick.

"With only one of the top five quarterbacks still available, the Patriots jump five spots with the Cowboys, giving Dallas their 2022 first-round pick in return," Kiper wrote. "The Cowboys don't need a quarterback, so they'd be thrilled to get an offer like this and move down only a few spots, because their biggest holes are on defense and they can get a good player at No. 15.

"This would be the first time in the common draft era (since 1967) that five quarterbacks went in the top 10 picks. The quickest that five QBs were picked was in 1999, when five went in the top 12."

The Patriots have heavily scouted the top quarterbacks in the draft and are expected to attend Fields' second pro day Wednesday. Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer speculated Josh McDaniels could lead the Patriots' group.

The NFL Draft will begin April 29.
