HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) - Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has been away from the team the entire offseason, but since he's still under contract, and with his legal situation having yet to be resolved, he'll reportedly arrive at training camp Sunday.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Watson is "expected" to report to Texans training camp with the other quarterbacks on the roster. Each player will undergo COVID-19 testing in order to be permitted to enter camp.
By reporting to camp on time, Watson will avoid $50,000 in daily fines. However, his decision to report to camp has not changed his stance about wanting a trade out of Houston.
The 25-year-old faces 22 lawsuits from women who accused him of sexual assault and misconduct. It is unclear how close the civil cases are to a resolution; whether the league will punish Watson in any way; or when the Texans might trade him.
Training camp in Houston begins July 28.
