James Harden upgraded to questionable, will try to play in pivotal game five

The Nets are holding out hope that James Harden will be able to play through his hamstring injury for game five on Tuesday night.

After listing the superstar as out for the pivotal game against the Bucks in Brooklyn, the team updated Harden's status to doubtful, and according to a report by ESPN, Harden tested his hamstring in a shootaround on Tuesday in an effort to be cleared to play. Following that shootaround, Harden was upgraded again to questionable, and will try and give it a go on Tuesday night.

Harden, who missed roughly a month of the regular season with a hamstring injury, left game one of the current series against Milwaukee in the opening minute after his hamstring tightened up on a drive to the basket. Harden hasn't played since, and while Brooklyn was able to still take a 2-0 series lead in convincing fashion without him, the team has since dropped two straight to even the series.

Barring a pregame setback, Harden will be back in the lineup to try and help Brooklyn avoid a 3-2 series deficit.

With Kyrie Irving now out for game five with an ankle injury, Harden's presence would be a massive boost for an offense that now has just one of its superstar trio cleared for game five.
