Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills got to 1-0 on the season in stunning fashion with a 41-40 victory over Baltimore that saw newly acquired kicker Matt Prater hit a game winning field goal. QB Josh Allen looked like the reigning MVP going 33-46 for 394 and two touchdowns. Allen also added two on the ground and when talking about the comeback win, Allen was quick to call this a team effort.
“No one on the sideline blinked, down 15 points with five/six minutes left, staying with it, fans leaving the stadium…you gotta play this game for 60 minutes and that’s a really good outfit we just played…we stuck in there and I’m just really proud of our guys.”
The Bills trailed 34-19 in the 4th and Allen spoke on the mindset the team had that allowed them to battle back.
“Just stay with it. Trust what Joe (Brady) is calling and that’s all we did, just try to take it one game at a time no matter how far down we are, we don’t look at the score board we just try to go out and execute our play.”
