Buffalo, N.Y. (Audacy Sports/WGR 550) - Jordan Poyer was not going to miss the Buffalo Bills' game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday by any measure.
The Bills safety was not cleared to fly with the team due to a lingering rib injury, so instead he took a 15-hour car ride from Buffalo to Kansas City.

The Buffalo News reported that the Bills provided Poyer a Mercedes-Benz sprinter van so he and his family could make the trek. The van had enough space for him to lie down, as well.
The reason Poyer could not fly was because of concern doctors had that the air pressure in the plane cabin would impact Poyer’s ribs and pneumothorax during the flight.
Poyer was able to play the full game on Sunday, a 24-20 Bills victory, and recorded four tackles in the win.
But Poyer still was not cleared to fly with the team, so he was taking the van back to Buffalo. We hear the 15 hours fly by after a win.
