While it is expected to bone-chillingly cold on Saturday night in Orchard Park, the Buffalo Bills are gearing up for their AFC Wild Card Round matchup with the New England Patriots at Highmark Stadium.

The weather forecast during the day on Saturday is calling for a high temperature just barely over 10 degrees Fahrenheit, but temperatures are expected to dip near zero degrees Fahrenheit as the game heads into the late-evening hours. Winds for Saturday's game are only expected to be 5-10 miles per hour - a radical difference from the teams' Dec. 6 matchup in Orchard Park - but wind chills are expected to drop into the negative single-digits.

As Saturday's playoff game looms, Bills head coach Sean McDermott joined the “Extra Point Show” on Thursday. He says his team has been preparing for what the elements could throw their way on Saturday night in Orchard Park.

“Our staff does such a great job of being prepared on the front end of things, and ready to adjust on the back end of things," McDermott said with Sal Capaccio and "Sneaky Joe" DiBiase. "We will be well-prepared, and we will practice outside in the stadium today.”

This week also marked the five-year anniversary of McDermott being hired by Terry and Kim Pegula as head coach of the Bills. In his five seasons so far in Buffalo, McDermott has a regular season record of 49-32, to go along with four playoff berths and two-straight AFC East titles.

McDermott took some time to reflect on his five years spent in Buffalo on Thursday, saying it's been a heck of a ride to this point.

“It’s been a blessing, just bringing us here, bringing the people who are currently here," McDermott said. "You look back and five years ago, Terry and Kim Pegula gave [general manager] Brandon Beane and myself a chance to do this for the first time, and we are just humbled by that.”
