Foxborough, Mass. (WEEI/WGR 550) - It took just under a week, but the New England Patriots are finally on the board with a free agent wide receiver signing.

According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, New England is signing former Minnesota Vikings pass catcher K.J. Osborn. It's a one-year deal, per ESPN Patriots beat reporter Mike Reiss.

Osborn (5-foot-11, 210 pounds) was drafted by Minnesota out of the University of Miami in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Before transferring to Miami, Osborn played three seasons at the University at Buffalo, where he reeled in 96 passes for 1,490 yards and 12 touchdowns with the Bulls.

Through three NFL seasons, the 26-year-old has totaled 158 catches for 1,845 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Osborn now joins a Patriots wide receiver room of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kendrick Bourne, Tyquan Thornton, DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, and Jalen Reagor.

The team designated veteran wideout DeVante Parker for release last Wednesday. He has since agreed to terms with the Philadelphia Eagles.
