ARCHBALD, Pa. — Police in Lackawanna County are investigating an early morning shooting on Sunday that left a teenager dead.
According to emergency reports, Archbald Police confirmed that a 19-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound before crashing a vehicle on South Laurel Street. Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, where he was later pronounced dead, according to Lackawanna County Coroner Timothy Rowlands.
The Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Archbald Police Department are conducting a joint investigation into the incident.
As of Monday morning, authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, and the exact cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
