DICKSON CITY, PA — Book lovers in Northeastern Pennsylvania will soon have a new destination, as Barnes & Noble is set to open a new store in the Dickson City Crossings this November. The new bookstore, which is scheduled for a grand opening on November 19, will take over the former Joann Fabrics location at 638 Commerce Blvd.
This will be the second Barnes & Noble in the area, adding to the retailer's existing location inside the Arena Hub Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township. The opening of a new physical bookstore marks a positive trend for brick-and-mortar retail, as the company continues its expansion efforts. The new store will bring a wide selection of books, magazines, and other products to the Dickson City community.
The new Barnes & Noble will be situated in a high-traffic retail area, offering a convenient option for residents of Lackawanna County and surrounding areas.
