THROOP, Pa. — A Sacramento man faces an attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing his brother inside an abandoned guard shack in Lackawanna County early Friday morning.

Christian Texiera, 28, of California, is also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal trespass, and recklessly endangering another person, according to a criminal complaint.

First responders and local police were dispatched to 200 Keystone Industrial Park Road following a emergency call reporting that a 29-year-old man had been stabbed by his brother. The caller, later identified as Texiera, told dispatchers he stabbed his brother because the victim had been aggressive toward him.

Texiera was arraigned Friday morning before District Judge Joanne Corbet, who denied bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on July 20.
