Olyphant, PA—A Carbondale man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Casey Highway on Thursday evening, and authorities are also searching for his dog that went missing after the accident.

The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. near the Meredith Street exit ramp, at approximately mile marker 12. According to State Police, Michael Propes, the driver, was transported to Geisinger Community Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

State Police are currently investigating the cause of the rollover accident.

Propes was traveling with his white Pitbull puppy, named Storm, at the time of the crash. The dog was last seen on an embankment near the Meredith Street off-ramp and has not yet been located. Officials are asking anyone who may have seen the dog to contact authorities.
