JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY – Two individuals have been taken into custody following a domestic dispute that involved gunfire at a home in Jefferson Township. The incident, which occurred Sunday night, resulted in charges against a former police officer and left bullet holes inside and outside the residence.

According to police reports, Ted J. Kalinowski, a former officer with the Dunmore Police Department, and Michelle Brislin allegedly shot at each other during an altercation at their home near Cortez Road.

Police stated that Kalinowski fled the scene in a pickup truck following the incident. He was arrested on Monday afternoon when he returned to the house. Officers investigating the scene discovered bullet holes in the interior and exterior of the home.

Kalinowski is facing a number of charges, including strangulation, aggravated assault, and terroristic threats. No information has been released regarding charges against Brislin at this time.
