SCOTT TOWNSHIP — Police in Lackawanna County are investigating a case of severe vandalism at St. Joseph's Cemetery after a vehiclen was driven through the property, heavily damaging at least a half-dozen gravestones.
Cemetery management believes the incident occurred sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, when someone drove into the gravestones and left the scene without reporting it. The damage ranges from completely toppled to broken headstones.
The Scott Township Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the cemetery or the police department.
