Fire crews were called to a home in Kingston Township early Sunday morning. The cause of the fire at the home on Heights Drive, an apparent lighting strike. The home was a total loss. Neighbors have started a Go Fund Me page to help the residents. There were no injuries. Earlier in April a home not far away on Genoa Lane was also damaged by lightning. There were no injuries in either incident.
Officials will be back on the scene of a Sunday fire in one part of Luzerne County today looking for a cause. Fire crews were called to the building on Wyoming Avenue in Wyoming. The fire in an apartment upstairs. There were no injuries.
