The City of Scranton will test the recently repaired flood siren on Shawnee Avenue in the Plot section at 9am Friday morning. . The repair project was overseen by Department of Public Works Director with assistance from Industrial Electronics in Scranton. The Shawnee flood siren will be most audible in the Plot section and to anyone near that area along the Lackawanna River on Friday. Following a successful test on Friday, the City will plan regular testing of its residential alert sirens, including one located near the Scranton Co-Op Farmers’ Market along Middle Street near Barring Avenue.
