
WILKES-BARRE, PA — Employees at the Luzerne County Human Services Building were placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after a "third-party shooting threat" was made against the county's Children, Youth and Families agency.
County Manager Romilda Crocamo informed the county council of the situation via email, stating that staff at the Pennsylvania Avenue building were ordered to remain inside for their safety. Law enforcement was on the scene to investigate the threat.
The lockdown was lifted at approximately 2:30 p.m., as announced by Crocamo. No further details about the nature of the threat or the investigation have been released.
