Fire crews were able to bring an intense fire in Nanticoke under control in about a half hour last evening. Crews were called to the city's Department of Public Works garage on North Market Street around 8:30. The garage, three trucks, a front end loader and other equipment inside at the time were destroyed. There were no injuries. No official word on what caused the fire has yet been given. The investigation is ongoing.
