At last night's Luzerne County Council meeting, a member of the Luzerne County Board of Elections spoke out about allegations of misconduct that have been made against her. Alyssa Fusaro denied allegations of using derogatory language toward election bureau employees and temporary workers on general election day last month.  Luzerne County District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce also said the investigation by his office into the ballot paper shortage that happened on general election day is still on going.

Luzerne County Council continued their discussion at last night's meeting to reduce a proposed property tax hike. Council members voted on more proposed amendments to reduce spending. There was no vote on the 2023 budget, last night, instead council will hold another meeting tomorrow. That meeting is set for 6pm at the Luzerne County Courthouse. With the pending storm moving it, instructions for attending the meeting remotely can be found at luzernecounty.org.
