It was over just as it started. Former Lackawanna County Commissioner Matt McGloin resigned Monday for an analyst job with the Boston College football team. Today, BC Coach Bill O'Brien announced that McCloin has resigned that position due to 'family reasons'. O'Brien was McGloin's coach when the NEPA native quarterbacked for the Nittany Lions. The Democratic Party Committee in Lackawanna County is currently mulling over three people to take McGloin's place and serve the remainder of his term. They will submit those names to the Court of Common Pleas judges who will make the final choice to fill that seat.
