An early morning crash Sunday in Wilkes Barre claimed the life of a young man. According to reports, the county coroner was called just before 6 a.m. Sunday morning to the scene of a crash along Hazle Street near Hill Street. One vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree. The driver, a man in his 20s, died at the scene, the coroner said. The cause of the crash was still under investigation by the Wilkes-Barre police, which did not release further information. The coroner's office did not publicly identify the victim because they were still working to notify his family.
