When Luzerne County Council meets tomorrow night, on the agenda, a discussion will begin on who will fill a vacant seat. Council member Robert Schnee recently won election and he will now serve as State Representative. Council is expected to officially declare his seat vacant. The discussion will then begin on whether the seat should go to a Republican or Democrat. Schnee was first elected to the seat in 2019 as a Democrat, but then changed his registration to Republican. Based on the Home Rule Charter some say it should be a Republican others say Democrat. The council meeting is tomorrow night at the County Courthouse and on line Visit luzernecounty.org for the link.
