SWB Railriders Close Strong 2026 Attendance Year Ahead of Rebranding

MOOSIC, PA — Home games for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders ranked among the highest-drawing contests across all of Minor League Baseball during the 2026 campaign.

According to industry data released by Baseball America, only 36 of the 120 affiliated minor league clubs increased their turnstile attendance compared to the prior year amid an overall drop in league-wide attendance. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre placed near the top of that tier, posting an average crowd of 4,208 fans per game at PNC Field—up from 3,840 per contest in 2025. The surge represents a 9.6% year-over-year jump, drawing an average of 368 additional spectators per game to the Moosic ballpark.

The attendance milestone arrives as the franchise prepares to sunset the "RailRiders" moniker after 13 seasons and unveil a new identity for the 2027 season.

To mark the transition, the club will host "The Adventure Begins Fall Festival" at PNC Field on Saturday, Nov. 7. Festival activities begin at 1:00 p.m., culminating in "The Big Reveal" scheduled for 3:00 p.m., where team officials will introduce the franchise's new name, logos, and visual brand. Prior to the unveiling, the organization is hosting a garage sale on Sunday, Nov. 1, giving fans a final opportunity to purchase official RailRiders-branded merchandise and gear before the name change takes effect.
