Two children were taken for treatment of injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Foster Township. It happened last evening around 5 in the area of Park and South Streets near Freeland Borough. The girls ages 11 and 5 were said to be crossing the street at the time. Bystanders in the area rushed to assist until medical crews arrived. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene. The children were flown to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest in Allentown and are reportedly in stable condition.
