After thinking about the women in her community that will spend their first Valentine's Day without their husbands, Ashley Manning got to work.
She asked her followers on social media to send names and addresses of widows in her community to hopefully raise enough money to donate gift bags and flowers to them for Valentine's Day.
Her original goal was 50 women, within 2 weeks she had enough for 121, and that was in 2021.
The following year, they gave gifts to 400 women and the number continues to grow thanks to the support of local businesses and members of the community.
They're currently mentoring women in Pennsylvania and Minnesota, with the dream of one day bringing their program to all states.
