
Here's something for you wine fanatic's. Grape juice was launched to the space station to determine if it could be fermented there. An owner of a winery convinced them to do it, "It was a project I had from graduate school, and it was more of a continuation of looking at the microbial loads, and how they compare in a fermentation of Earth compared to being up in space."
Some people think it's a waste of time and money. If it does ferment I suspect some vineyards will pay big money to create wine in space and sell it for a monster price which many would buy. More here.
