Alcohol Sold to Minors in Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Three businesses in Plainfield sold alcohol to a minor during complience checks on Monday.

Plainfield Police say that the department teamed up with the State Department of Consumer Protection's Liquor Control Division to conduct compliance checks at nine convenience stores, grocery stores, and package stores in town.

A trained volunteer minor tried to purchase alcohol at the nine stores. During this test, three of the nine businesses failed by allegedly selling alcohol to the minor.

Admore Fuel (Norwich Road), Pit Stop Spirit Shop (Norwich Road), and Citgo (East Main Street), are subject to administrative pentalties through the Department of Consumer Protection.
