HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC) - Hartford Police have made arrests involving an assault on security guards outside of Annie Fisher School on Plainfield Street.
Police responded to a call of an assault Wednesday morning at 10:16. Patrol officers were dispatched and determined a man and woman parked in an unauthorized parking space designated for bus drop-off only. A security guard approached the male suspect and told him to move his vehicle, at which point Police say the man became aggressive.
"The conversation became tumultuous at one point," Hartford Police Lieutenant Paul Cicero said.
The adult man got into a physical altercation with one of the security guards at which point the female occupant of the vehicle got out and became involved in the incident. A second security guard intervened as well and they were both assaulted. The juvenile inside the car - a 15-year old - also got involved."
Lieutenant Cicero said one of the security guards suffered a laceration to his head. He was later released from St. Francis Hospital following the non-life threatening injury.
All three suspects were detained and the adults were transported to the Hartford Police Department. Matthew Locke, a 34-year old Hartford resident, and Amber Mills, 39-years old also of Hartford, were arrested and charged with Assault on a Public Safety Officer, Breach of Peace (Second Degree) and Risk of Injury to a Minor.
The 15-year old is Mills' son and it was determined he is not a student of Annie Fisher School.
Locke and Mills were held on a $5,000 bond and both will soon be arraigned, as the 15-year old will appear in juvenile court at a later date.
Hartford Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
