WTIC 1080 News - Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound personnel received a report just after 12 noon Saturday fom a Stamford Marine Police unit of a 10-foot fishing canoe capsized and anchored in the vicinity of the western break wall in Stamford Harbor.
There were personal items and fishing gear left in the canoe when found. The canoe was without identifying markings or owner information.
Boat search crews began search efforts for a possible person in the water until sunset last night with negative results.
